Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann met PM Modi in New Delhi on Thursday and sought a special package of Rs 1 lakh crore from the Centre to put the state’s economy back on track. Mann said the PM promised all possible support and complete cooperation to make Punjab a vibrant state. Meeting the PM at his office, Mann told him that the state economy was in the doldrums as previous governments had left the state a burden of over Rs 3 lakh crore.
