Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray on Saturday filed a petition before Supreme Court challenging the decision of University Grants Commission (UGC) to conduct final year examinations before September 30. Following the ministry's guidelines, earlier this months, Thackeray had called the ministry's decision 'absolutely absurd and probably from an alternate universe.'
