Over 900 prominent Indian scientists and scholars wrote an open letter against the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Bill which was tabled in the Lok Sabha on Monday. The group has demanded the withdrawal of the bill and that it should be replaced with a "non-discriminatory" legislation.
