Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday accepted Navjot Singh Sidhu's resignation and forwarded the same to state governor VP Singh Badnore. An official spokesperson of the chief minister's office confirmed the development. Sidhu had formally sent his resignation to Amarinder on Monday at the latter's Chandigarh residence.​
